COMPLETE 3D METAL PRINTING SOLUTION
Metal X is a safe, reliable and affordable 3D metal printing from Markforged. Everything you need to go from design to fully functional metal parts – the Metal X 3D print system is an end-to-end manufacturing solution.
Based on our 4th generation composite 3D printing technology, the Metal X is a brand new kind of metal 3D printer. By printing metal powder bound in a plastics matrix, we’ve eliminated the safety risks associated with traditional metal 3D printing while enabling new features like closed-cell infill for reduced part weight and cost.
The Metal X significantly accelerates your design innovation and delivers metal components overnight. Forget manufacturing from the 20th century and print everything, such as industrial spare parts, injection moulds, product samples and working prototypes. Now metal printing has become a reality you will begin to see more components being manufactured as single body parts.
Affordable Metal 3D Printing
The Metal X is up to 10x less expensive than alternative metal additive manufacturing technologies — and up to a 100x less than traditional fabrication technologies like machining or casting.
Manufacturing Made Easy
Our cloud-based 3D printer management software, built-in touchscreen interface, and automatic material tracking make the Metal X system the simplest way to manufacture metal parts.
ADAM
Atomic Diffusion Additive Manufacturing
At the intersection of 3D printing and metal injection molding, ADAM is an all new way to build metal parts.
DESIGN
CAD your part, upload the STL, and select from a wide range of metals. The Eifer software does the rest making printing the right part easy.
Metal powder bound in plastic is printed a layer at a time into the shape of your part. Parts are scaled up to compensate for shrikage during the sintering process.
SINTER
Printed parts go through a washing stage to remove some of the binder. They are then sintered in a furnace and the metals powder fuses into solid metal.
Part
Now comprised only of pure metal, the final parts are ready for use. They can be processed and treated just like any other metal parts.
AIRCRAFT BRACKET
3D-printed metal part
Parts that would be infeasible to machine or cast are easy to print with Markforged. This complex aircraft bracket design takes full advantage of the Metal X's ability to print surprisingly light and powerful parts.

PUMP IMPELLER
3D-printed metal part
Save days of waiting for machined or cast parts. Print complex geometries like this impeller and have your part the next day – and with the excellent corrosion resistance of 316L stainless steel, your parts are fully functional and ready to use.
Typical Machined Cost | $602 |
Markforged 3D Printed Cost | $14 |

CAMSHAFT SPROCKET
3D-printed metal part
The strength and surface hardness of 17-4 PH stainless steel enables 3D printing of functional toothed parts, like this camshaft sprocket.
Typical Machined Cost | $279 |
Markforged 3D Printed Cost | $12 |
Savings | 96% |
LEARN WHY TURRET LATHE SPECIALISTS
CHOSE MARKFORGED
Turret Lathe Specialists accelerated their lead time for large-volume productions without reducing their ability to help customers with rapid prototyping or short-volume runs. After discovering Markforged, they realized how a desktop 3D printer capable of printing metal-strength parts could cut down on time and costs while simplifying production runs.
Using the Markforged 3D Printer to make prototypes and templates just as strong as their metal counterparts, they were able to cut the manufacturing price of an engine manifold from $2,000 down to $117.
MARKFORGED 3D PRINTER MATERIALS
From Stainless Steel to Titanium to Carbon Fiber, Markforged offers the widest range of material capabilities. 3D print functional prototypes, lightweight tooling, or fully working replacement parts with affordable price.
INCONEL 625
Inconel 625 is a nickel-chromium-based superalloy that is resistant to high temperatures and highly corrosive environments. Printing Inconel is significantly easier to process than traditional manufacturing methods, allowing you to easily make functional prototypes and end-use parts for harsh environments.
